Benchmark to publish EXW Europe cobalt metal prices weekly

Benchmark Mineral Intelligence will now publish weekly market price assessments of its Benchmark EXW Europe cobalt metal price assessments beginning 16 July 2025.

This evolution allows for the facilitation of more frequent cobalt metal price assessments within the parameters of Benchmark’s IOSCO compliant cobalt price methodology.

Benchmark’s cobalt prices – every week

Cobalt metal EXW Europe; Min 99.8%

Cobalt sulphate EXW China; Min 20.5%

Cobalt hydroxide CIF Asia; Min 20%

These prices are available toBenchmark’s Cobalt Price Assessmentsubscribers every Wednesday by 4pm (London), starting 16 July 2025, with market analysis sent out to subscribers soon after.

Benchmark’s cobalt prices – every two weeks

Cobalt oxide, EXW China; Min 72.8%

Cobalt Mixed Hydroxide Precipitate CIF Asia; Min 1%, Payable; %

Cobalt Mixed Hydroxide Precipitate CIF Asia; Aggregate MHP

These prices will be published by Benchmark every alternate Wednesday by 4pm (London), starting from 23 July 2025, with market analysis sent out to subscribers soon after.

“This change to the frequency of cobalt metal prices within Benchmark’s IOSCO compliant Cobalt Price Assessment reflects increased liquidity in the market as the number of active players continues to grow and price dynamics display greater volatility, particularly in the ex-China market,” Daisy Jennings-Gray, Head of Prices at Benchmark, said.
