Benchmark begins public consultation on its Price Assessment Methodologies

Benchmark Mineral Intelligence announced today that it has started a formal public consultation on changes to itsPrice Assessment Methodologies.

Domestic China prices to be published in Chinese yuan

Amid recent increased foreign exchange (FX) rate volatility, Benchmark is proposing to publish all grades that are collected in Chinese yuan in their original currency.

This will impact prices uploaded to the website, however subscribers will be able to toggle between currencies on the website for all grades.

Therefore, prices will be available in both USD and CNY on the website and continue to be shown in both USD and CNY in assessments distributed to subscribers via email.

Moreover, Benchmark proposes to change its FX rate provider for all prices to Finnhub, with FX rates taken for any relevant grades at 9am (London) on the day of publication.
